Creativity, What Are You?

Imagination Kim (please ignore the brand behind)

Lesson from the lecture

Everyone is born with creativity, don't you agree?
Well, I would say creativity is like a second nature for us, as natural as breathing.
One could not survive without breathing!
Just like creativity! We need creativity in order to live our life to the maximum!
Just imagine,
no creative invention in this world,
how would our live be?

"To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Pablo Picasso

"It is better to create than to be learned, creating is the true essence of life."
Barthold Georg Niebuhr

"Creativity is seeing what other see and thinking what no one else has thought."
Albert Einstein

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."
Albert Einstein

Indeed, creativity or sometimes we call it as imagination plays a main role in our daily live. You can keep all the knowledge in your brain but without practice and modify the knowledge that you are having, it is worthless.

Creativity can be helpful in problem solving, dealing with people and creating success in all fields of your life.

However, human beings are all born with creative brain (right celebral hemisphere). Especially children, without artificial help, they are always showing keen interest to explore their surroundings. Some of them create imaginary friends (like I did) and spend times playing with toys!

When we grow older, our creative brain cells are about to be paralyzed as we frequently use our left-brain thinking skills in institution and at work. This has resulted in an inferior usage of our creativity skills as much as we used to.

There are some ways to generate creativity!
1. Using Leonardo Da Vinci's method, prepare a journal of question!!
Write down every question even the question seems easy but hard to explain! Leonardo never worried about answering the question as he believes subconscious mind will continue to work on the answer!

2. Brainstorming
A good way to practice generation of creativity! The quantity of idea matters and all the ideas are written down under a time limitation. Although some ideas are really wild, there is no reason to reject it as brainstorming is not allowed criticism!

3. Prepare a book of ideas
This journal is for future use, it might include dreams, experiences or quotes. Do review this book oftentimes and the complex subconscious mind will be complemented.

4. READ
I have to admit that by reading, it allows you to create pictures in your mind. Ideas will flow on you and you just cannot stop it! Constantly reading and watch your creativity increase! Even Einstein and Leonardo were avid readers!
